How the free plan works
Here is how we support the free plan without selling your homework:
- AI labs buy the scoreboard, not your homework. Foundation-model labs pay to license the arena's aggregate results: which models win which kinds of student work, built from de-identified votes and outcomes. No names, emails or accounts are ever part of what they get.
- Universities and schools. We work with universities and schools on pilots and school-level leaderboards. Institutions pay for the cohort view, so their students don't have to pay for the arena.
- Student-focused listings (planned). We'll list offers that are genuinely useful to students: internships, software discounts, scholarships. Always clearly labelled as sponsored, and never targeted using your chats.
- Supporters. Supporter is $20 a month. It gives you our highest usage limits and frontier-model headroom, while helping cover free access for students who cannot take on another subscription.
A few promises to students
- Free stays genuinely useful: voting, model reveals, and the leaderboard never go behind a paywall.
- Supporter buys more headroom, not permission to use the core product. Students who cannot pay still belong here.
- Cancel any time. Leave after finals and come back when the next semester gets loud.
